Carrie is an entrepreneur with a degree in Business and IT from Eastern Michigan University (EMU), and a long career in business, technology, and process improvement. She has worked for large corporations and small nonprofits, and prefers the courage and tenacity of entrepreneurship.

My name is Carrie Coon and I believe in small businesses.
Before I made it to website design, on my own, in a small business, I worked years for a very large corporation in IT and consulting, where I did some very interesting work, traveled the world, met a lot of great people, and built some productive and happy teams.
It was truly great, and I appreciated all of it. At some overdue point, I made the decision to leave and spend time to have a couple of very wonderful kids, taking time off of my career, and returning several years later to discover that I had been promoted! Promoted to the “mommy track”, that is… a flexible but less eventful, lower paying career path that allowed me the space to be a mom.
At this point I worked in healthcare for several small non-profit organizations, where I learned more about the beautiful world of small business, and realized that there is a lot of work to do here, and so much help is needed.
All along the way, I harbored a passion for being my own boss, freelancing, and pursuing entrepreneurship.
I’ve finally arrived at the right time to share what I’ve learned, on my own terms… with you! Yay us!
Meet Elyssa, Consulting SEO Specialist
Elyssa has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Michigan (UM), and excellent Spanish speaking skills. She lives a fully vegan lifestyle and has 2 free-range bunnies, as well as 4 feathered friends that she’s saved from various less-than-ideal life circumstances.
